Patna High Court CWJC No.20904 of 2025(4) dt.24-02-2026 2/3 referred to as the "learned CAT") in O.A. No. 050/00206 of 2017 whereby and whereunder the petitioners herein have been directed to accord same relief to the sole respondent herein as has been granted to the applicants of O.A. No. 699 of 2013 by the learned CAT vide order dated 26.05.2015 as also vide order dated 27.01.2017 passed by the learned CAT in O.A. No. 67 of 2017.

Nonetheless, at the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners herein could not point out before the learned CAT that simple interest @ 8%, in the facts and circumstances of the present case can at best be awarded from the date of passing of the impugned order dated 08.01.2025 and not from the date of passing of the order by the Hon'ble Apex Court on 25.07.2013, inasmuch as the respondent herein was not diligent enough to approach the Court promptly and there has been grave laches on his part resulting in the original application suffering from the vice of delay and laches.
3. In view of the aforesaid, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioners to file appropriate review petition before the learned CAT. Liberty so sought is granted.

4. Accordingly, the present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
