2. This is an application for grant of regular bail on behalf of the petitioner for the offences initially registered under Sections 87, 64, 61(2) and 3(5) of the BNS and subsequently it was converted to Section 64 of the BNS and Section 4 of the POCSO Act in connection with Mahila P.S.Case No. 12/2025.

3. The informant admittedly is a married lady. She did not disclose that on what basis the petitioner was blackmailing her.

4. Mr. N.K.Agrawal, the learned senior counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the relationship between the

As a matter of fact, she was pressurizing the petitioner for marriage, to which he denied, and it is the reason that she falsely implicated not only the petitioner but also his maternal cousin. It is submitted further that the charge-sheet has been submitted and the petitioner is in custody since 26.09.2025.

5. On the other hand, the learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the above facts and circumstances, let the petitioner above-named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-VI-cum-Special Judge (POCSO), Purnea in connection with Mahila P.S.Case No. 12/2025, subject to the conditions that the petitioner shall cooperate in the disposal of trial and make himself available as and when required by the court.
