The petitioner is in custody in connection with Special Case No. 05 of 2019 arising out of P.R. No. 01/2018-19 for the offence under Section 20(B) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 20.01.2019.

Learned counsel for the petitioner draws attention of this Court to the order dated 07.05.2019 passed by a Bench of this Court in Cr. Misc. No. 29120 of 2019. While rejecting the prayer for bail on 07.05.2019, the Court granted liberty to the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.82563 of 2019(3) dt.18-03-2020 2/2 petitioner to renew his prayer for bail after six months in case there is no substantive progress in the trial. Considering the aforesaid, the Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall tender his service as volunteer in Patna Medical College & Hospital, Patna for one month from the date of his release. He is required to report to the Superintendent, PMCH, Patna in connection with tendering his services as volunteer. The petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, N.D.P.S. Act, Purnia in connection with Special Case No. 05 of 2019 arising out of P.R. No. 01/2018-19.
