The present writ application has been filed for a direction to the respondent authorities to provide security to the petitioner and his father.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is an Associate Professor of Political Science Department in Ganga Devi Mahila College, Patna. It is further submitted that one of the brothers of the petitioner died on 05.06.2000 in a road accident, but the petitioner apprehends that he was murdered. The second brother was found dead in a suspicious condition near Hathidah Railway Station. The third brother was murdered on 26.05.2017 leading to registration of a

Patna High Court CWJC No.21575 of 2018(2) dt.19-11-2018 2/2 criminal case. Hence the present writ application has been filed by the petitioner with a prayer for providing private security. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that in the writ application there is no averment to the effect that the petitioner has submitted any representation for providing him security guard before the respondent authorities, particularly, the Special Security Committee constituted by the Government for providing security guard to the citizen of the State. In the circumstances, the petitioner is permitted to file an application for grant of security guard before the Special Security Committee. It is expected from the Special Security Committee to take a decision on the application of the petitioner for providing him security guard in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of filing of such application. Accordingly, this writ application is disposed of with aforesaid observation.
