The matter has been taken up through video conferencing.

The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Complaint case No. C697/ 2018 registered under Section 498A of the IPC. The complainant alleged that she solemnized marriage with the petitioner but after marriage the petitioner started subjecting her to physical and mental torture due to non fulfillment of demand of additional dowry. The petitioner ousted from the house and immediately thereafter solemnized second marriage with another lady.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.84666 of 2019(4) dt.25-06-2020 2/2 petitioner is ready to keep his wife and he never demanded any dowry but it appears that petitioner tortured is wife and drove her out from the house. The petitioner immediately thereafter solemnized second marriage.

Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
