Petitioner apprehends his arrest in Mahkar P.S. Case No.185 of 2018 registered under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 196, 197, 198, 199, 201 and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code. The gist of the allegation is that the petitioner being the Panchayat Secretary did not verify the certificate of Vinay Kumar who was appointed in Primary School, Sapneri on the basis of forged certificate.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that verification of certificate was authorized to Block Education Officer and only then the Panchayat Secretary is to keep the records of the Panchayat Teachers. The certificate produced by Vinay Kumar was found forged for that the petitioner being the

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.79971 of 2018(2) dt.10-01-2019 2/2 Panchayat Secretary cannot be held responsible. Considering the facts aforesaid and nature of allegation made against the petitioner, let petitioner, above named, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM-IXth, Gaya in connection with Mahkar P.S.
