JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 26-03-2019 This Court by an order dated 26.09.2018 had stayed the admission process since the University had decided subsequently to change the criteria of selection for admission to Ph. D. course.
The learned counsel appearing for the Patna University, Shri R.K.Giri, submits that the University shall proceed according to the advertisement dated 25.01.2018 and the criteria mentioned therein and no other criteria would be resorted to.
The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that if
Patna High Court CWJC No.13693 of 2018(6) dt.26-03-2019 2/2 the University is proposing to proceed for taking admission to the Ph.D. course as per the earlier notification and the advertisement dated 25.1.2018, then the petitioners do not have any grievance.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of taking into account the statement made by Shri R.K. Giri, learned counsel appearing for the University to the effect that selection for admission to the Ph.D. course will be conducted in accordance with the earlier advertisement dated 25.1.2018 and the procedure mentioned in the earlier notification issued by the Governor's Secretariat, Bihar dated 21.9.2017, containing the Regulations.
