JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 19-01-2021 Heard Mr. Jitendra Prasad Singh, learned Advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Rana Bikram Singh for the Vigilance Department. The State is represented by Mr. Ajay Mishra, learned APP.

This is an application seeking quashing of the FIR of Supaul P.S. Case No. 508 of 2018 dated 30.08.2018 instituted for the offence under Sections 198, 420, 467, 468, 471, 477 (A) and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

This court had called for a report from the court below about the stage of the case. The report indicates

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.76522 of 2018(4) dt.19-01-2021 2/2 that investigation is continuing. Though this Court is not inclined to quash the subject FIR but directs the investigating agency to conclude the investigation without wasting any time and submit the report. An investigation in a case cannot be kept pending for eternity.

With the aforesaid directions/observations, the petition stands disposed of.
