Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 307/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Later on Section 304(B) of the Indian Penal Code was added. Petitioner is father-in-law of the victim of dowry death. Allegation is of demand of dowry and torture for the same and the death was result of non-fulfillment of dowry demand.

Submission is that husband of the victim is already in custody. Only on suspicion, false allegation has been levelled. Petitioner is in custody since 24.09.2019. Investigation of the case is already complete.

No.83682 of 2019(2) dt.07-01-2020 2/2 Considering the facts aforesaid, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below where the case is pending in connection with Gopalpur Police Station Case No.56 of 2019, subject to the condition that both bailors shall be resident of territorial jurisdiction of the learned court below and further the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
