In this case, the petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No.18 of 2019 registered for offence punishable under sections 498(A), 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The wife of the petitioner has died in his house and the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no demand of dowry, but looking to the fact that the victim has died in the house of the petitioner and no explanation has been given to the cause of death of the victim.

In such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner and, accordingly, his prayer for bail is

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.84060 of 2019(2) dt.18-12-2019 2/2 rejected for the present. However, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail after one year of custody and this Court directs the court below to expedite the trial and complete the same within nine months.
