The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Kotwali P.S.case No.156 of 2019 registered for offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 364/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Allegation against the petitioner, who happens to be Dewar of the sister of the informant, is that he along with the other accused persons demanded Rs.50,000/- and got his sister traceless and he apprehends that she has been killed. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that no specific allegation has been attributed against him and considering the same, another Dewar of the sister of the informant has been granted bail by a co-ordinate Bench of this
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.84863 of 2019(3) dt.18-03-2020 2/2 Court, vide order dated 20.11.2019 passed in Cr. Misc. No.55368 of 2019. Petitioner is in custody for more than seven months.
Heard learned A.P.P. also.
Having heard both sides and in view of the facts and circumstances, as stated above, let the petitioner, above named, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned CJM, Gaya in connection with Kotwali P.S.case No.156 of 2019.
Accordingly, with the above direction, this application is allowed.
