(i) For issuance of a writ or order or direction upon the respondents to provide security guard to the petitioner in light of threat perception existing qua the petitioner and also in light of the report submitted by the local Superintendent Of Police to the respondent Director General Of Police (Security), Bihar Patna;

(ii) For holding and declaring that the inaction on the part of the respondents in the matter of request for security guard, already made by the petitioner, despite report of the local police and also threat perception

Patna High Court CWJC No.722 of 2020(3) dt.23-10-2024 2/2 existing with the petitioner, violates the fundamental right of the petitioner guaranteed under Article 21 and 14 of the Constitution of India."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Superintendent of Police, Saharsa for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that the findings arrived at by the Special Security Committee, in its report dated 22.04.2019, shall not prejudice the case of the petitioner.

The writ petition stands disposed off.
