The petitioner seek bail in Hasanpur P. S. Case No. 72 of 2018 instituted for the offence under Section(s) 341, 342, 323, 494, 498A and 379/34 of the IPC.

It is alleged against this petitioner that after performing another marriage he has assaulted the informant in front of her children and also attempted to burn her by pouring kerosene oil.

Case diary has been received wherein statement of daughter of the informant has been recorded in para 7 of the case diary wherein she has supported the case levelling specific allegation against this petitioner.

Learned APP for the State after perusing the case

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.52752 of 2018(3) dt.05-10-2018 2/2 diary has submitted that informant has been assaulted by this petitioner. Injury report of the informant is available at para 41 of the case diary which shows that she has sustained injury on account of assault made by the petitioner. The petitioner is husband of the informant In such circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. The prayer for bail of the petitioner stands rejected. Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial.

Petitioner may renew prayer for bail after six months if no substantial progress is made in the trial. (Sanjay Priya, J) shyambihari/- U T
