The petitioners are seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Raniganj P.S. Case No. 233/2018 registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 342, 353, 504 of the Indian Penal Code. The prosecution story is that the informant received information that some male and female blocked the road at Raniganj near Bhargama Chowk and on this information the informant reached at that place and it is alleged that the accused persons restrained the informant from discharging the public duty.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that these petitioners are ladies who have been made accused in the present case on the allegation that they had created obstacles on the public road. Learned counsel submits that there is no allegation of causing

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.74812 of 2018(2) dt.20-12-2018 2/2 any assault or any overt act against any passerby. It is submitted that the police falsely implicated a large number of persons in the said case.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners.

In the facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of their arrest/surrender before the court below within a period of four weeks, let the above-named petitioners be enlarged on bail furnishing bail bond of Rs. 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Araria, in connection with Raniganj P.S. Case No. 233/2018, subject to condition that petitioners shall join investigation by reporting to the Investigating Officer within a period of two weeks from today and shall cooperate in course of investigation, failing which the Investigating Officer shall be at liberty to take steps for cancellation of bail.
