Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present writ petition has been filed directing the respondent to provide the benefits to the petitioner against post of Inspector of Police and grant all consequential benefits w.e.f. 14.02.2017. Counsel also submits that during pendency of the writ petition, the promotion and consequential benefits of the petitioner has been taken into consideration, but it was granted w.e.f. April, 2020 so, the only grievance left to the petitioner is that he is entitled for promotion w.e.f. 14.02.2017. Counsel further

Patna High Court CWJC No.3467 of 2020(2) dt.22-12-2023 2/2 submits that the case of the petitioner is well covered by order dated 20.02.2018 passed in Letters Patent Appeal No. 239 of 2015 has squarely covered by the case of Ramjee Singh Vs. The State of Bihar & Ors. reported in 2016 (1) PLJR 226.

3. It transpires to this Court that major grievance of the petitioner has been settled and only the dispute relating to the date of granting benefit has to be taken into consideration which according to the petitioner has covered by the decision of this Court mentioned above.

This Court is hereby directs that the petitioner shall file his representation under 4(C) of the Bihar State Litigation Policy, 2011 within four weeks along with this order and the authority Inspector General of Police, (Headquarters), Bihar, Patna (respondent No. 5) is directed to pass a reasoned and speaking order on the representation filed by the petitioner within 90 days.

5. With the directions and observations made above, this writ petition is hereby disposed of.
