The present writ application has been filed for a direction upon the Pay Verification Cell (respondent no.3) to verify the scale of petitioners on the post of Reader/Associate Professor with effect from the date of promotion i.e.
Patna High Court CWJC No.2256 of 2020(3) dt.07-05-2024 2/3 27/02/2001 (for petitioner no.1) and 11.01.2003 (for petitioner no.2) and pay the differences of arrears of salary to the petitioners from the date of promotion till May, 2017, in terms of notification contained in memo no.855 and 866 dated 19.10.2016.

At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that grievance of the petitioner no.2 stands redressed, therefore, he is not pressing this application with regard to petitioner no.2.

Learned counsel for the Magadh University (respondent no.4) submits that the University has already sent letter to the Pay Verification Cell to verify the scale of the petitioner to the post of Reader/Associate Professor with effect from date of his promotion i.e. 27.02.2001. It is submitted that the Pay Verification Cell has already verified the differences of arrears of salary of petitioner no.1 and sent to the University. It is submitted that the University will receive the amount from the State Government, thereafter, the University will pay the differences of arrears of salary to the petitioner no.1, within a period of two months.

Considering the aforesaid submission, this writ application is disposed of with a direction that, if payment, is
