JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 27-02-2020 It is the petitioner's claim that he belongs to Economically Weaker Section (E.W.S.) category. He is an applicant for the post of Amin pursuant to Advertisement No. 2 to 2019, issued by the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Government of Bihar. It is an admitted fact that while submitting
Patna High Court CWJC No.1022 of 2020 dt.27-02-2020 2/3 his application on-line, he did not claim his candidature as a candidate belonging to E.W.S. category.
It transpires that subsequent to filing of the application, on-line, a notice was issued on 27.05.2019, inviting objections from the applicants in respect of the entries made in their applications. The petitioner filed an objection to the effect that though he belonged to 'E.W.S. category', he had wrongly mentioned 'UR category' in his on-line application. The petitioner's objection came to be turned down, mainly on the ground that the data, given at the time of filing of the application, cannot be allowed to be altered after final submission of application. The said decision of the respondents, rejecting petitioner's objection, has been assailed in the present writ application, which has been filed more than six months of rejection of the objections.
Be that as it may, the petitioner doesn't dispute that he had not claimed his candidature under E.W.S. category at the time of filing of the application. I do not find any illegality in the impugned decision of the respondents in rejecting the petitioner's objection, whereby, considering the nature of objection, the respondents refused to allow the petitioner to change the data, which he himself had fed in his on-line application.
Patna High Court CWJC No.1022 of 2020 dt.27-02-2020 3/3 I do not find any merit in this application. This application is accordingly dismissed.
