JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 22-03-2023 In compliance of the order of this Court dated 11.9.2018 passed in CWJC No. 942 of 2016, it is informed that the petitioner has already been promoted to the post of Associate Professor, History, with effect from 16.12.1999, hence, the only question which survives for consideration is payment of consequential benefits.

The learned counsel appearing for the Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura, has submitted that

Patna High Court MJC No.5234 of 2019(4) dt.22-03-2023 2/2 since promotion has been granted to the petitioner by the Purnea University, the consequential benefits would also be paid by the Purnea University.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to dispose off the present contempt petition with liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate representation before the Vice Chancellor, Purnea University, Purnea, as also the Vice Chancellor, Bhupendal Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura for payment of the consequential benefits and in case, such a representation is filed within a period of one week from today, the same shall be considered, in accordance with law and the admitted amount of consequential benefits, due on account of the aforesaid promotion, shall be paid within a period of four weeks, thereafter.
