The instant writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs;- (i) For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the respondent authorities for transfer and renew the doublebarreled gun License No- 258/258 Sahebganj PS, District Muzaffarpur in favour of the petitioner above named.

Leaned counsel for the petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation along with copy of this order and all supportive materials/documents which he proposes to file in order to get this matter adjudicated by the Licensing Authority. It has further been submitted that police verification has also been conducted and the same is in favor of the petitioner but for unexplained reasons the grievance of the petitioner has still not been redressed.

On the other hand, learned counsel for the State submits that since appropriate application for transfer and renewing the said gun license in favor of this petitioner has already been submitted before the concerned authority, the concerned authority is required to adjudicate the same by passing an appropriate order in accordance with law.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, the District Arms Magistrate, Muzaffarpur, being the Licensing Authority is directed to take a final decision on the petitioner's application for transfer and renewing the said gun license in favor of this petitioner within a period of four weeks from today. The order so passed shall also be communicated to

6. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the instant writ application stands disposed.
