Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents.

Petitioner has prayed for the following relief: "For issuance of a writ in nature of mandamus commanding the concerned respondent authorities to follow the mandatory provision of the University Grants Commission (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and

Patna High Court CWJC No.1522 of 2020(2) dt.23-01-2020 2/2 other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges and other Measures for the Maintenance of Standards in Higher Education) Regulations, 2018 [Regulation No. No. F.12/2017 (EC/PS) dated 18th July, 2018], so far the provision for qualification and tenure of a College Principal and Professor (Professor's Grade) is concerned."

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner at length, we are not inclined to interfere in the present petition, more so, for the reason that we find that the petitioner has not placed on record any endeavour made in approaching the authorities, highlighting the issue in question. The petition stands dismissed.
