The petitioner is in custody in connection with Choutham P.S. Case No. 212 of 2019 corresponding to G.R. No. 2707 of 2019 registered for the offences under Sections 30(a) and 41(i) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment)Act, 2018.

In the instant case there is recovery of 738 litres of liquor from a pickup van.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner would submit that the recovery was made from a pickup van which does not belong to the petitioner. The petitioner is in custody since 09.09.2019.

Let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing his personal bond to the satisfaction of the Additional District and Sessions Judge-II-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Khagaria in connection with Choutham P.S. Case No. 212 of 2019 corresponding to G.R. No. 2707 of 2019 on account of the circumstances prevailing due to lockdown in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
