2. This application has been filed on behalf of the petitioner for issuance of a writ in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the respondents/authorities to make payment of salary of the petitioner which has been stopped from March, 2017 without any valid reason.

3. After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner and also perusing the contents of the writ application, it appears that the petitioner has filed an application before the District Programme Officer, Gaya on 11.10.2017 requesting him to direct the authority to start payment of the petitioner, but no needful action was taken.

Patna High Court CWJC No.1663 of 2020 dt.13-03-2024 2/2 Being harassed, he approached the District Appellate Authority, Gaya against the high handedness of the respondents, but no heed was paid by the District Appellate Authority which compelled the petitioner to file an application before the Appellate Authority on 25.07.2018 for payment of salary, but till date no direction has been passed at his end. Thereafter, having no alternative, the petitioner has filed the present writ application.

In such view of the matter, the District Appellate Authority, Gaya (respondent no.6) is directed to dispose of the application of the petitioner by passing a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner or his counsel and after issuing notice to the other necessary persons/affected persons.

5. Needless to state that the respondent no.6 shall be responsibly for non-compliance of this order within the stipulated period.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this writ application stands disposed of.
