2. The petitioner has moved the Court for the following reliefs:

"That this application is being filed for issuance of appropriate writ/writs, direction/directions to the Respondents to handover possession over the settle

Patna High Court CWJC No.1189 of 2020 dt.21-01-2020 2/2 land which is settled by the authority through Settlement Case No. 114 of 1975-76 in the name of petitioner regarding Khata No. 342 area 1 Acre."

3. Without going into the merits, the Court finds that the prayer of the petitioner to hand over possession of the land which is said to have been settled with him in the year 1975, being raised in the year 2020, i.e, after 40 years, cannot be entertained.

4. Accordingly, on the ground of delay and laches, the writ petition stands dismissed.
