JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 18-01-2020 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. The petitioner in the present case is seeking regular bail in connection with Sonpur P.S. Case No. 453 of 2019 registered under Sections 25(1-b)a, 26 and 35 of the Arms Act, pending in the court of learned A.C.J.M. - II, Saran at Chapra.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the name of the petitioner has been brought in this case on the basis of the confessional statement of the petitioner itself. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner is on bail in all the cases except one as mentioned in paragraph '3' of the present application.

Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.86366 of 2019(2) dt.18-01-2020 2/2 prayer for bail.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case wherein it is the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner that the name of the petitioner has been brought in this case on the basis of the confessional statement of the petitioner itself and further submission is that the petitioner is on bail in all the cases except one as mentioned in paragraph '3' of the present application, considering the fact that the petitioner has got huge criminal antecedent inasmuch as eight cases are there against the petitioner apart from this case and all the cases are of serious nature and in the present case the petitioner has been arrested with loaded country made pistol with live cartridges and he is in custody only since 28.06.2019, at this stage, this court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner. Prayer for regular bail of the petitioner is, thus, rejected.

Let the trial be expedited.
