2. Petitioner is in custody in a case registered for the offence punishable under Sections 82(1), 85, 88, 64, 3(5) of the BNS and Section 3 & 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

3. As per allegation in the FIR, the petitioner along with other accused persons alleged to have beaten the informant and tried to strangulate her with the help of towel (gamcha) and some other co-accused persons have also poured kerosene oil on her and have tried to burn her for death. It is also alleged that

No.309 of 2026(2) dt.15-01-2026 2/3 the accused persons were demanding Mahindra XUV 500 Car and also exploited her mentally and physically and co-accused persons, namely, Vishal Singh and present petitioner Ajay Kumar Singh have also tried to make illicit relationship with her forcibly.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. He next submits that marriage of the victim lady was solemnized with the son of the petitioner on 08.02.2023 and as per allegation in the FIR, the said occurrence had taken place on 30.07.2025 at 1:00 P.M but the FIR was lodged on 24.08.2025 after a delay of 25 days without any plausible explanation. He next submits that petitioner is the father-in-law of the petitioner and there is no specific allegation against the petitioner. He submits that petitioner is in custody since 15.10.2025 and has got no criminal antecedent as stated in para-3 of the bail petition.

5. Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, submission of learned counsel for the petitioner and period of custody of the present petitioner, let the above-named
