2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case, registered for offence punishable under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 76, 351(2) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Sections 8 / 12 of POCSO Act.
3. As per F.I.R., the informant, who is 15-year-old girl, residing alone at home, was repeatedly harassed by this petitioner, who attempted to force her into physical relations, followed her, used obscene language, and also threatened to shoot her if she refused. It is further alleged that on one

No.1290 of 2026(5) dt.07-07-2026 2/2 occasion, this petitioner caught informant, while she was alone in the field and tried to drag her to a dark place, however upon arrival of some villagers, she was saved. The victim (informant) states that the accused (petitioner) has made similar attempts earlier as well. The victim, in her statement recorded under Section 183 of B.N.S.S., has supported her prosecution version. The Court has assessed the age of the victim, as 16 years.
