2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Mahila P.S. Case No. 36/2025 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 64, 318(4), 303(2), 352 and 351(2) of B.N.S.
3. As per the prosecution case, petitioner befriended the informant, then pressurized her for physical relations and threatened to defame her, demanded Rs. 60,000/- and snatched marriage jewellery, committed rape and repeatedly threatened to kill her and her father.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. Learned counsel further submits that from perusal of the FIR, it appears that the informant who is a 27-year-old
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.960 of 2026(4) dt.09-04-2026 2/2 woman had developed intimate relationship with the petitioner and subsequently after the relationship turned sour, this case was filed. Petitioner has one criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 14.09.2025. The petitioner undertakes to co-operate in the case/ trial.
5. Learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this application for regular bail is allowed.
7. Accordingly, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned C.J.M., Purnea/concerned Court below in connection with Mahila P.S.
