This application for regular bail arises out of S.Tr. No. 304 of 2016 arising out of Ara Nagar P.S. Case No. 253 of 2015, disclosing offences punishable under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner is in custody since 15.06.2015. From the F.I.R., it appears that the petitioner is the main assailant and the informant is an eyewitness of the occurrence. The petitioner has criminal history as can be seen from paragraph 3 of the application.

Considering the gravity of the offence alleged, I am not inclined to grant the petition privilege of regular bail for the present.

While rejecting this application for bail, it is observed that let the trial be expedited and concluded preferably within six months.
