Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

171.09 liters of foreign liquor was recovered from the Bathan of the petitioner. Petitioner has stated on oath that he has got no criminal antecedent. Petitioner was not apprehended at the time of recovery.

Considering the nature of allegation and punishment prescribed for the same, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail after framing of the charges on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.86609 of 2019(2) dt.14-01-2020 2/2 where the case is pending in connection with Mahua Police Station Case No.169 of 2019, corresponding to CNR No.BRVA010019962019, subject to the condition that both bailors shall be resident of territorial jurisdiction of the learned court below as well as petitioner shall not leave the country without permission of the Court and further the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner.
