2. After advancing some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been granted promotion with effect from the year 2008 whereas he should have been promoted from the year 2007.

3. In such view of the matter, learned counsel for the petitioner prays that he is under instruction to withdraw the present writ application with liberty to file a fresh writ.
