The challenge in the present case was to the order of appointment issued in favour of the respondent No.4. The petitioner himself in his rejoinder have brought a document which shows that the order of appointment of the respondent No.4 has been cancelled by the authorities concerned.

If that be so, the substantial relief which the petitioner has claim in the present writ petition stands redressed. Moreover, the nature of appointment was that of contractual engagement and the contractual period also in due course of time stands lapsed. Accordingly, there does not appear to be any grievance left to be adjudicated upon and the present petition is dismissed as having become infructuous.
