1. One of the reliefs claimed in the writ petition is that appropriate direction be issued to dispose of Excise Appeal No.2671/2008 expeditiously. The writ petition was entertained on 30-4-2010 and notices were issued to file reply. Reply has been filed. There is no interim order and the petition is pending.
2. After having heard learned counsel for the parties and in view of the prayer made, it would be appropriate to direct that the said excise appeal be decided expeditiously by the Excise Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi, if already not decided, after hearing the parties. It is ordered accordingly.
3. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to cost(s).
