1. Heard.

2. This is an application filed under Section 439 of the Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail to the applicant, who has been arrested in connection with Crime No.72/2020, registered at Police Station Pasta, Distt. Balrampur-Ramanujganj C.G., for the offence punishable under Section 20(A) of the NDPS Act.

3. As per the prosecution case, applicant was found cultivating

MCRC No. 343 of 2021 230 cannabis (ganja) plants in his own agricultural field.

4. Learned State counsel, per contra, would oppose the prayer for grant of bail.

5. Considering the whopping number of plants which applicant was growing in the agricultural field owned by him, I am not inclined to release the applicant on bail at this stage.

6. Accordingly, the bail application is dismissed. However, liberty is reserved in favor of the applicant to revive the prayer at an appropriate stage.
