1. Appellant is convicted under Sections 354 and 506 of IPC for committing offence against complainant Shanti Bai. Shanti Bai is present in person before the court and as per her statement she is compounding the offence against the present appellant. Both offences are compoundable as per provisions of Sections of 320 and 320(2) of Cr.P.C.

2. Complainant Shanti Bai is permitted to compound the offence.

3. Composition of the offence shall have effect of an acquittal of the accused with whom the offence has been compounded as per Section 320(8) of the Cr.P.C. Accordingly, the appellant is acquitted of both charges.
