1. The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the non granting of the monetary benefits to the petitioner for promotion with a retrospective date.

2. According to the petitioner, similarly placed persons in the Department have already received the monetary benefits for the said period of promotion from the back date but so far as the petitioner is concerned, the same has not been granted to the petitioner.

3. The limited prayer that the petitioner makes at this juncture is that since the petitioner has already approached the respondents by way of a detailed representation, the authorities be directed to consider and decide the representation on its own merits at the earliest.

4. The limited prayer is not opposed by the State Counsel.

Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents No. 1 & 3 to take an appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner and decide the representation which the petitioner has filed at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
