1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking for quashment of the decision of the respondent/Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission holding the petitioner as an ineligible candidate for the post of Assistant Professor on account of not accepting the degree of M.Phil obtained by the petitioner through distance mode awarded by the Periyar University situated at Salem (Tamilnadu).
2. The issue raised in the present writ petition is no longer res integra for the reason that a bunch of writ petitions of similar nature have already been decided by this Court in WPS No. 2856/2011 and other analogous petitions decided on 16.04.2014, whereby all the writ petitions were dismissed. The judgment dated 16.04.2014 by the Single Bench also
stood affirmed by the Division Bench of this Court in W.A. No. 221/2014 and other analogous appeals decided on 24.02.2016. This Court also happens to be a Member of the Bench which had decided the aforesaid Writ Appeals on 24.02.2016.
3. Under the circumstances, this Court is inclined to dismiss the present writ petition in terms of the order passed by this Court in WPS No. 2856/2011 and other analogous petitions.
