Agrawal Order On Board 12/07/2018 (1) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's application for grant of permanent lease is pending consideration before the Collector since 27.12.1973 and, therefore, the same may be directed to be decided expeditiously. (2) Be that as it may, the respondent No. 2- Collector, Jashpur is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application for grant of permanent lease expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter, and the authority concerned is free to decide the application filed by the petitioner on its own merit in accordance with law.
(3) At this stage, counsel for the State would submit that record of the case is not traceable.
(4) The petitioner is directed to provide additional copy of the necessary and relevant documents to the said authorities. In case of any difficulty, the authority concerned is free to make an application for extension of time to decide the petitioner's application before this Court.
