The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is the posting of the petitioner to Sukma from Mahasamund where the petitioner is presently posted.

The impugned order reflects that it is an order of promotion and the place of posting given to the promoted person. The petitioner happens to be one of them who has been promoted to the post of General Manager.

Given the said fact, it cannot be equated with a usual transfer order issued by the respondents. It is an order of promotion with the place of posting given to each of the promoted persons. In case if

the petitioner has any grievance so far as the place of posting, which in the instant case according to the petitioner is primarily the short duration of time left for his retirement, the only recourse available to the petitioner is to approach the respondent No.1, who in turn shall consider the representation of the petitioner on its own merits sympathetically taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner has got only 8 months of service left for his retirement. 4.

With the aforesaid observations, the present writ petition at this juncture stands disposed of.
