Ms. Sunita Jain, Panel Lawyer Hon'ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy Order on Board 27/11/2018
1. The dispute raised in the present writ petition was whether the petitioner would stand retired on attaining the age of 60 or whether he would retire on attaining the age of 62.
2. The reply of the State Government reveals that the status of the petitioner was that of the class-III employee and for the class-III employee, the age of retirement was 60 years and only in respect of the class-IV employee was the age of retirement 62 years.
3. Given the said facts, as it is not in dispute that the petitioner was not working as a class-III employee, this Court does not find any strong case made out by the petitioner for issuance of an appropriate direction for permitting the petitioner to retire at the age of 62 years.
4. The writ petition accordingly stands dismissed. Sd/- (P. Sam Koshy) Judge Ved
