1. The petitioner's application for grant of armed license has been rejected by the impugned order of the State Government.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the order impugned is unsustainable and bad in law, as no reasons have been recorded.

3. Learned State counsel would support the impugned order.

4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the impugned order.

5. A careful perusal of the record would reveal that no reasons have been assigned while rejecting the application filed by the petitioner. It ought to have been disposed of by a speaking and reasoned order.

6. In view of the above, the impugned order is set aside and the matter is

remitted back to the State Government to consider the application afresh and to pass a reasoned order within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. The writ petition is allowed to the extent indicated herein-above. No order as to cost(s).
