1. Heard.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's land has been acquired for construction of National Highway No.200/49-Bilaspur-Urdawal and bypass road. Land acquisition compensation of Rs.8,52,720/- has been assessed for payment to the petitioner as informed to him on 4.8.2016 vide Annexure P/4 but despite the said communication, the

compensation has not been paid.

Considering the document-Annexure P/4, the writ petition is disposed of with direction that in the event, the petitioner appears before the SDO(R), Champa, District Janjgir-Champa, who has issued the communication-Annexure P/4, within a period of 15 days from today, the said authority shall disburse the compensation by handing over the cheque of the entire amount to the petitioner.

4. In the event, the petitioner is not entitled for disbursement of the amount for any lawful reason, the said authority shall inform the petitioner by a reasoned order, failing which, the amount shall carry interest @ 18% per annum w.e.f. 4.8.2016. Sd/- (Prashant Kumar Mishra) Judge Shyna
