Perusal of record would show that the claim of the petitioner in the present writ petition was for grant of fixed pay scale from the date of regular appointment.

The respondents in their reply have enclosed with a document Annexure R/2 dated 26.07.2012 whereby the petitioner has been granted regular pay scale w.e.f. 10.11.1980. Thus, the substantial relief sought for by the petitioner stands redressed. Accordingly, in the light of the order dated 26.07.2012 (Annexure R/2) the writ petition stands dismissed as having become infructuous.
