1. The limited grievance which the petitioner has raised through the present writ petition is for a direction to respondent no.2 to take a decision on the second appeal which the petitioner has preferred.

2. The brief facts relevant for disposal of the writ petition are that the petitioner was working as a Constable under the respondents when he was inflicted with the punishment of termination from service vide order dated 24.09.2015. Against the order of termination the

petitioner preferred an appeal before respondent no.3 who in turn vide order dated 17.03.2016 rejected the same affirming the termination order. Thereafter, the petitioner is said to have preferred a second appeal on 08.02.2018 before respondent no.2 along with an application for condonation of delay supported with relevant documents but the said appeal till date has not been decided by respondent no.2.

3. Given the factual matrix of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2 to take a decision on the appeal of the petitioner at the earliest preferably within a period of 90 days form the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is expected that respondent no.2 shall pass a speaking order while deciding the appeal.
