(2) Be that as it may, the respondents authorities are directed to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representation for rehabilitation / employment in lieu of acquisition of their land strictly in accordance with law expeditiously. This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter and the authority concerned is free to decide the petitioners' representation on its own merit strictly in accordance with law.
