2018-07-23Hon'Ble Shri Justice P. Sam Koshy1 pages

HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH, BILASPUR Order Sheet WPC No. 82 of 2012 Bharat Lal Kashyap -Versus- State of Chhattisgarh & Ors. 23.07.2018 None for the petitioner.

Mr. Shashank Thakur, Govt. Advocate and Ms. Meena Shashtri, Advocate for the respective respondents.

The matter pertains to the allegation of certain corruptions, which were leveled against the petitioner, who was the then elected Sarpanch for Gram Panchayat Nevsa, Tahsil and District Bilaspur. By efflux of time the tenure of the Sarpanch must have definitely been completed and fresh election must also have been held and that could be the reason that there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Given the facts that there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner, this Court is left with no other option, but to dismiss the writ petition for want of prosecution.

Accordingly, the present writ petition stands dismissed for want of prosecution.
