11/01/2018 (1) Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners' land has been acquired by respondent authorities, but in lieu of which neither land has been given nor compensation has been paid to them, against which they have made representation before the respondent authorities, but the same has not been considered and decided till now and, therefore, direction may be issued to the said authority to decide the same expeditiously. (2) Prayer appears to be fair and reasonable.
(3) Be that as it may, the Collector, Surguja is directed to consider and decide the petitioners' representation in accordance with law after hearing the parties expeditiously within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. The petitioners are at liberty to file additional representation, if any before the Collector in support of their case.
(4) With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands finally disposed of. No order as to costs.
