1. At the outset, learned counsel for the appellant submits that the sole appellant has expired and therefore the appeal itself has become abated.

2. Upon verification, the State Counsel confirms that sole appellant has expired. Death certificate of appellant has also been produced by learned State counsel confirming that appellant has expired on 25.7.2017. This certificate is taken on record.
