1. Learned counsel appearing for respondents submits that pursuant to the order passed by this Court, the respondents have since initiated the acquisition proceedings and all preliminary formalities have already been completed and that the stage has reached to the final publication and given a reasonable time, the authorities would be concluding the entire proceedings in accordance with law with the
minimum time which is otherwise required in terms of the acquisition law governing the filed.
2. Given the entire facts and circumstances of the case, particularly taking note of the practical difficulties with the respondents may have in the course of finalization of the acquisition proceedings in terms of the Land Acquisition Act and also taking note of the fact that the respondents have already initiated the acquisition proceedings, this Court at this juncture would like to dispose of the contempt petition. However, the respondents are expected to conclude the entire acquisition proceedings and redress the grievance of petitioners, at the earliest, preferably within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
