Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is working on the post of Overman and he is entitled to be promoted on the promotional post of Senior Overman, as he is qualified for that post, but the SECL is not considering the case of the petitioner for promotion on the post of Senior Overman for last 22 years, therefore, the SECL may be directed to consider the case of the petitioner in accordance with the applicable rules, regulations and by-laws.

Mr. Bajpai, learned counsel for the respondents, would submit that the petitioner's case will be considered in accordance with law.

Be that as it may, since the petitioner has been working on the post of Overman for the last 22 years, his case may be considered by the SECL, strictly in accordance with the applicable rules, regulations and by-laws within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of this order.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
