Presumably the Petitioner has lost interest in view of the fact that the appointment is related to the year 2008. The counter-affidavit clarifies that the horizontal reservation for women was reduced from 30% to 10% in accordance with law and there is no allegation in the writ petition that any less meritorious candidates have been given the benefit of reservation and appointment.
